Additional Comments:

I don't know if it's just our area, but this spring has been one of the loveliest I can remember.  It seems like everything has been blooming.  Our neighbor said this was the first year his front tree has bloomed in years!

Here are some photos...

My bleeding hearts...

A bed of tulips in the backyard:

Some backyard daffodils...

My lilies of the valley have just started to open...

The plum tree given to us by my inlaws:

Wild violets growing in the yard...

More daffodils!

My Scotch Broom in bloom...

Our front last month:

And finally, a bee visits my shrub!

Can I have your camera? I'm so jealous! My pictures don't turn out like that!

I want a sour cherry tree, my aunt and uncle used to have one and we ate them till we were sick of them, as kids.

  • Bauer) LOL! I didn't know there were sour cherry trees. We keep hoping our plum tree will produce plums but it's been 5 years and nothing! Maybe it needs to be cross-pollinated? My neighbors have big apple trees that I'm so jealous of, but Tom says apple trees are messy! So what! They're beautiful!
  • Really, Bauer. What kind of camera do you use? is the shutter fast enough to catch Andrew before he closes his eyes? My present digital camera flashes, eyes close and THEN the shutter opens for hte picture. All eyeballs are either RED or they're shut altogether. I need a new camera!!! (Q)
  • Bauer) Q, I just bought a Canon EOS 20D and it's awesome! The shutter speed is very fast, and I've been having a field day taking pics with it. I wanted a better camera so I can capture all of those childhood moments!
