Additional Comments: Fair starts this Sunday. It's quite a nice one..or so I've been told. Haven't made it there in three years. We usually go to the Upper Penninsula during fair week. But gas prices are keeping us home. Grandkids like looking at the animals and I like all the venders...and food! Can't wait for Wednesday! I can taste the funnel cake already!
We just went to one last month, as a matter of fact! It was our first time, and especially fun with a little one! He's not quite two so we didn't ride many rides (except the merry-go-round) but he loved the farm animals.

Message: The 2 BIG fairs here, The Mississippi Valley Fair and The Iowa State fair are both while we are on vacation in Florida. Hubby home brews beer and he did enter several in the little local fair 2 weeks ago. He got a 2nd and a 3rd place ribbon!

Our fair doesnt actually start until mid-October, but I will likely be going. I usually go at least once, mainly for concerts.
That fair food though, you can get anything you want on a stick! I do love the funnel cakes also!
