Additional Comments: Well, they assasinated another character. The Shayne I remember was a very nice guy not a hotheaded moron.

I enjoyed this new Shane, and I loved the interaction between him and Dinah. I can understand why he would be angry. I would be too if I was confined to a wheelchair and no longer had the freedom to run around like before. I felt he brought something out in Dinah that I haven't seen since her and Mallet first hooked up. Good to see her back and hope it continues.

Am I missing some obvious thing that makes Dinah not recognize the son of her mother's husband's brother? And him her? (I did miss the beginning half of the show.)

I think Dinah hadn't seen Shayne since he was a kid, so she may not recognize him. Couple that with the fact that the name she saw for him was not Shayne Lewis and - ta da! She has no clue. He knows who she is though (she introduced herself) ......... Ashley

I thoroughly enjoyed Monday's show, first time in a long time. I liked the angry man (yes very reminiscent of Josh in the wheelchair) and Dinah looks like the two will be making sparks in the future. I loved it. I liked how his hospital name was John Randolph very convenient. Dinah looked great too.

You know what? I never picked up on the John Randolph thing until I read it in your post! Funny ... especially since I don't think Shayne and Jonathan ever even met! ........... Ashley

To be honest, the way that Shayne was acting today reminded me a lot of how Josh was when he was in the wheelchair (after driving his car into a tree because Reva had married his daddy!). I saw a lot of the young angry Josh in this Shayne. I hope that's not all there is to the character, but not bad for his first day - and he's pretty easy on the eyes too :o)

When I saw ''Shayne'' today, all I could think of was crazy Jonathan, the character the actor played on AMC. The way he was acting was so similiar to the character on AMC that I didn't even want to watch it, but then I knew I wanted to at least see how the SL started. He plays an angry young man (and a crazy one too) very well, I hope the SL calls for more than that.

Well, he did play another Jonathan on AMC. And he was as demented and crazy as Reva's son. It'll be interesting seeing this actor in another role other than a murdering psycho.
