If anybody on this board went to the event, could you please share with us about it?  Hope it was a great time.   Thanks in advance.

I wonder if any of the GL cast got to go the Steelers game on Sunday!

Yes! I went. It was great! GL was mega popular in Pittsburgh. There was standing room only. There were people there that sold their Steeler tickets and chose to come to the event. Kim Zimmer got a major cheer when she yelled, "I hope the Steelers kick ass!" She looked GREAT! She cried a couple of times when guests would comment how GL and Reva were such a part of their everyday life, and how upset they were that that was over. Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan) was a surprise guest. The crowd went mad when he entered. Frank D was such a nice guy. Daniel Cosgrove was a clown, Gina Tognoni was stunning. Robert Newman was soooo funny, as was Ron Raines. Kim Zimmer, Grant Aleksander and Tom Pelphrey got the most questions. The actor that plays Shane was as nice as can be, as well. I remember one guest crying practically the whole. It was my first ever fan event, that I will always treasure.

  • Thanks Pittman. I enjoyed reading your accounts -- glad to hear it was enjoyable!
  • nathan- I agree, thanks for that commentary on how the fan even went in Pittsburgh. I still haven't gotten any real closure with everything, and would love to go to one of these fan functions, if it was a little closer. I am in Louisiana. I still miss the Light so much.

Didn't go, but two sold out events is pretty impressive for Pgh fans. KDKA.com has some video coverage...

  • It was incredible. I met people that came from out-of-town to go to the event. It's a memory I will always treasure.
