I hope Jeffery beats him to a pulp. Josh is a total hypocrite with every word that comes out of his mouth, and Jeffery has him totally pegged. I don't have a clue why Reva would ever, ever want to go back to that self-righteous idiot. Josh is just mad at himself because he blew it with all the disgusting choices he's made, like getting involved with Cassie and then staying with her after Reva survived, and sticking it in her face month after month, and even sleeping with Reva, and then telling her Cassie is his future. Now he wants her back? Give him a punch for me Jeffery.
Josh-u-a, the reverend Lewis is an ass of world scale proportion. The character has been completely demolished. He has recklessly run around like a IQ challenged tweenager playing with the lives of others without thought and without caring who gets hurt. Lord knows that Reva is not without fault, but the reverend Lewis has gratified his every whim and desire no matter who got damaged, and now he wants to flip flop yet again. I have even a little sympathy for that ignorant slut Cassie. He made promises to her and now just says: 'Never mind'. Don't feel like keeping 'em anymore. How about RJ? Well, just colateral damage in the good reverend's holy book.
As for it being stupid for him and Jeffrey to fight over Reva, I didn't watch, but it sounds to me like Josh is the only one stupidly fighting. Reva made her dicision and she chose Jeffrey. What ever Jeffrey's faults, he's a better choice than the new and unimproved Josh-u-a Lewis.
BTW, It strikes me as odd somehow that Billy would be so gung ho about urging Josh to kidnap Reva. He fancied himself in love with her ,too, not that long ago. Does he just want to keep her in the family? Isn't he her friend, too? Kind of a head scratcher...
Reva is still beautiful - and wardrobe has done much better with her clothing lately.
What I don't like is that the writers have seen fit to completely change Josh's whole personality. This is not the same Josh I have watched since 1984; he is not even recognizable. The REAL Josh would never have gotten into a fight with Jeffrey after hearing Reva on the phone telling Marah that this the happiest she has ever been.
The REAL Josh is more passive-aggressive. He would have gone behind the scenes to show Reva that he is the only one for her. He would have set things up so that Reva thought it was her own idea that she still belonged with Josh.
This character is not Josh. He is some new character these new writers have made up and just left with the same name. They are turning him into a sleazeball just like so many of the other characters on this show. The next thing we'll probably see is Lillian opening an escort service.
Does Josh ever have a scene when he's not yelling? I can't stand it when he starts on his band wagon about everything.
Anyway, Josh definitely attacked Jeffery. Jeffery got involved with Reva when Josh was still with Cassie. Jeffery certainly had nothing to do with Reva and Josh's breakup. When Jeffery said to Josh "Are you sure you want to do this, I'm a trained agent (or something like that)?" I was hoping Jeffery would take Josh down with two moves and hand cuff him to the ground. That would have blown the wind out of Josh's arrogance.
Well, I agree with Fee that Reva is definitely worth fighting over, LOL. She is still a beautiful woman and still has that spark that might drive men nuts. Didn't she look gorgeous today? I loved her hair put up that way. Very nice! She still has it!!
BUT... I thought Josh was acting like a complete ass. I get that he still wants Reva, but this is NOT the way to get her back. How about starting off with a sincere apology for the horrific way you treated her, Bud? Make her realize how stupid and wrong you were. Not act like a cocky jerk that is sure she still loves and wants you just because you're Josh and the ''always'' crap! I also thought Josh would realize that Reva was happy and want her to be, and that he'd gone to tell Jeffrey to be good to her. HA! No, he's still acting like a teenage cowboy who just wants the girl regardless of what she wants. To even plan kidnapping and forcing her to go to Oklahoma is insane. Yeah Fee, it would have been fun, but c'mon. Josh does not deserve Reva any more! He relinquished that privilege when he left her dying for her skinny ugly sister and told Reva that Cassie was his future!!
I totally disagree! I LOVED it! I like the fight, but would much rather have seen the Lewis Boys drag her off kicking and screaming to Oklahoma! This Reva is WAY too normal! I want the wildcat back! And I think that would have done it!
I seriously don't think that ''their'' age is past getting so serious about someone that you risk bodily injury in a good hoedown fight! But then, I think young anyway! I don't care for fuddyduddy that wouldn't even think of a good fight over a girl, even if she's not a young thing without enough life and experience to fight over! Sorry! I think Reva is well worth fighting over! Not everything has to be about age, weight or maturity. There actually IS more to life!

My son and I were watching *the fighting* today, we were ROTFL!
The previews for tomorrow 'continue' w/ the fighting........we'll be watching + laughing!
Two adult males fighting over Reva ... how many times must we endure that tiresome scenario?

well, darn, I wanted to make this post! beat me to it! yes, josh sure is delusional. he is exhibiting the emotional maturity and hormonal intellect of a teenaged boy. ick. when he first showed up, I was hoping he was going to say treat her well, jeffrey or something like that.
Jeffrey, beat the snot out of him! (however, much as I love dear Jeffrey, I wouldn't be upset if Josh hit him and somehow damaged his ability to sing. Was that an awful song or what?!)
