Topic: Ed and Maureen 1986

Additional Comments: I prefer to remember Maureen and Ed not for the way they ended, but for the eleven incredible years they had together (which may well be a record on GL). That's why I LOVE this scene from 1986, posted by phantom3377 at YouTube. It has feisty Maureen, protective Ed, and the two of them being loving. I think it's romantic.

That was nice. The show sooo needed Maureen. I don't think the show ever recovered after they killed her off.

I remember this! I loved the Reardons. Ed and Maureen were great(so in love). Did Maureen want to leave when she was killed off GL?

  • No, it was Jill Farren Phelps who decided to kill her. I have nicknamed that woman The Show Killer because of her many deaths on soaps where she's been EP, and because most of the shows she's been in charge of end up canceled. But that's a rant for another time. ICAM about Ed and Maureen being so in love and so great! I do love the Reardons and the Bauers.--TributeMaker
  • ellen parker received an emmy that year. big mistake having her die! nichole
