Just read this. Along with:
Tom Pelphrey (Jon)
Nicole Forrester (Cassie),
Gina Tognoni (Dinah)
Chrystal Chappelle (Olivia)
Daniel Cosgrove (Bill)
I'm disappointed Marcy Rylan (Lizzie) didn't get a nomination. I thought her work this past year was great.

I actually liked Ashley at times and thought (can't recall her name right now) - but wish she had gotten one. Van Zandt?
I always laugh a little bit when people say the emmy process is unfair. No process would be perfect. The Soap Awards aren't fair either because fans vote for the same god-awful actors and actresses because it's a popularity contest, and doesn't reflect good work. Look at all the years DAYS won for the show - and it just continually happened no matter how laughable the show was.
Alot of the emmys are absolutely fair. People put their names in and then members vote. GL has an extremely small cast compared to other one-hour shows out there...the smallest. In fact, I would be interested in knowing these days how many people B&B has, compared to GL, because I would bet GL has the smallest cast out there of any show. And people still pulled in some nominations, which tells me that the people voting do respect the work they're seeing and it's not the size of the show, or the popularity that counts.
The one I was the most happy to see again was Chappel.....I really wish she would win because I think she's a really underrated actress in daytime, whose name never comes up when people speak of the good actresses. She is one of those people who you can count on to deliver good performances day in and day out - a true professional.
As for next year - I doubt we'll be in any kind of shape because people are going to concentrate on the filming rather than the acting, which is a shame. I've seen some stuff this year even with the new format, that looks so realistic to me - and it's a shame it will be judged for the scenery going on around it rather than the acting. I know it sounds silly to the people that detest the new format...but I remember one of the first days of it - Harley running into Marina in the nail salon, and her turning her head and closing her eyes, rolling them a little (when you run into someone you really don't want to run into, LOL) - and then her reaction to try and sell it....it's those moments that really look like life to me and they're subtle and won't get noticed, which is a shame.
