I've been there several times. My mom is from Mamoth Springs.
Yep I have! Didn't you see me waving at you??? It was June something in the late 60-s or early 70's! My dad would take us on these epic vacations every summer. Being a teacher, he wanted us to learn about each state by being there.
Not saying this about your state, or the scale of my dads teaching ablility.. I don't remember a thing about it! I do believe it has more to do with the 18 hours a day in a moving car, being car sick most of the time, not stopping to eat, but had to find something in that cooler and a pesty sister that kept kicking my seat...
Ahhhhh, vacations...
Ever been to Minnesota????

I've been to your state many times.
We've spent time in Eureka Springs a few times. We manage to get to Branson, MO about once a year and many times take a drive into Arkansas. Many years ago...our kids were in elementary school...we drove through the state on the way to Dallas, TX and, of course, we clip the very north east corner when we head down I-55 south.
Arkansas makes for many a scenic drive. It's always worth cruising the byways.
On our trek to Dallas we camped somewhere in northern Arkansas. It was late when we stopped for the night. It had been heavily raining earlier in the week and the toads/frogs were everywhere. I know we must have squished toads/frogs while we were sleeping in our tent. There were so many toads/frogs in the bath house we could hardly see the floor. I had to be brave...didn't want to frighten the kids, but I wish those critters hadn't been there....there was just too many of them. Guess, I'll have to say, due to that night, Arkansas is one hopping place.
So, have you been to Missouri?
