Subject: PS: It is refreshing that MC obviously isn't comfortable w/the results. However, as prestigeous as it is to have AL doing your photos, she has a tendancy to try getting more provocative photos out of her subjects--including the Queen! My question is, where was MC's manager/mom in all of that. SHE should have been the one to put the brakes on in the photo shoot! I guess she isn't any different than the other stage mommies/managers out there. Shades of Lohan's mommy/manager. eom

Subject: Well, many of these stage moms are in their second adolescence themselves once their little girls are in demand. Oh, they talk the talk when it comes to interviews, about watching out so their kids don't go wild but they aren't too good at walking the walk. Sooner or later, they give in and let the girls show their provocative side ($$$$$$). From what I've read, Miley Cyrus' mother had a bit of wild-child in her. She already had to illegitimate children, being raised by her mother, by the time she hooked up with Billy Ray and became preggers by him. She had Miley and then went on to have another child with him before they married (at his politician father's urging). Since they've been married, I believe that they had a third child together as well.

Subject: Yes, they have 6 kids. But that really isn't the point. Lots of people have large families & are good parents. Leaving the set & having no direct parental supervision during any part of that shoot was stupid! Yes, Miley's grandmother & nanny were there, but that isn't the same thing as her parents. And what were Miley's parents thinking--having her doing an article for Vanity Fair?! That is hardly a magazine that has the pre-teen demographic, or even teen demos! It was also a 'red flag' when the shoot was termed, 'artistic'. That should have thrown up all sorts of red flags for her parents, grandparents & handlers. As others, w/lots of experience working w/the likes of photographer AL, you aren't alone there are reps from Disney (or whoever the performer is working for/under contract with) & you can see exactly what these photographs look like. Her parents should have had first approval, but I'm sure they gave that up for a chance of having AL taking their photos! eom

Subject: No Rosebud, YOU missed the point of my post. I was NOT implying that a parent with 6 children cannot be a good parent....where the heck did you get that from? My purpose in bringing up all of those kids was to show that both of Miley's parents have had wild/checkered pasts themselves (Billy Ray also has an out-of-wedlock son with another woman...whom he orignally denied paternity of and who was born within a couple of months of Miley). Sorry, but a person's past DOES say a little bit about their judgement and just maaaaybe, THESE TWO particular parents might not exercise the best parental judgement. Just some food for thought. btw RB1, please read people's messages clearly BEFORE you jump in with your arguments that boast a lot of inside information, but really have NOTHING to do with what the other person said.
