Too bad this work isn't eligible for this year's emmys, because Laura's really knocking them out of the park.
Hope everyone remembers next year.

You don't think that ABC block voted when it handled the Emmys?
As for Carly, or rather, Laura, she's a good actress, but her big moment has come too early in what will be next years' acting considerations. Just like in the movies, the soap blockbusters that are released near the time of the awards are more likely to be remembered well, and those that came too many months ago, may have faded. I think that was the case with Brad Maul's wonderful work in the story of BJ's heart.
I, myself, despite appreciating Laura's take on Carly, do not think it is necessarily an award winning piece of work, so far. She may find better scenes ahead, but so far Carly's grief has been a one note performance. She bears the same grieving face, sans makeup, with the same bad hair (which should not be a reason to either award her or otherwise, I admit) She repeats the lines from yesterday and last week, with conviction, but still, just the same old. With some help from the writers and other actors, she might be gifted with a moment that would put her over the top, but so far I can only say she does sad very well.
But victory is in the future. We know, due the the Spoiler That Went Round the World that Michael will awake sometime in the future, SORASed into what I can't help but think of as Jason's relief hitman. Jason became what he is when a bit of one of his frontal lobes was destroyed. Michael has a hold in the midst of his cerebral cortex. It looks to me as if the writers have made a way for Steve Burton to leave the show if he really wants, by making sure that they will be ready with a SORASed Michael to come on as relief hitman. I may be wrong, but what IS the reason for wanting to suddenly to either age or kill off the kid?
