Additional Comments: There was a scene this past week, I don't remember which day, where Sonny actually said "I'm a criminal." Has he ever said anything like this before? Maybe this is a sign of actual character change caused by Michael getting shot.

Sonny HAS said "I am NOT a criminal" "By bizznis is legitimate" on many occassions. For a while it seemed he was saying it on a weekly basis. Along with "Deke locked me in a closit an beat ma mother" he sounded like a broken record.

I missed Thursday and Friday's shows so what made him suddenly change his mind about the "bizznis"?

You are confusing his business interests. The coffee business/warehouse IS legitimate. Many RL crime lords have legitimate, as well as illegal business interests. Sonny has talked about the illegal businesses being criminal acitivity. He has also spoken of himself as a criminal before. eom

I don't believe the slimebag has openly stated 'I am a criminal' before. It is a first. I mean, you know it, we know it, he knows it, but to hear him say it was, well. different. GHFan

Sonny has never said that he isn't a criminal! He has never denied that he runs the mob or that it is dangerous. But knowing it & the law proving it in court are two totally different things.
