...............and I knew his voice reminded me of someone I had heard..couldn't place it until he and Lucky were talking at the bar.....then it hit me !!!

That nasal twang....the formation of his lips.....RICHARD SIMMONS !!

Don't laugh !  Close your eyes and listen to the way he pronounces the words....

HOW TRITE IS this FOR A POST ??? lol..... I really like his acting...though he looks waaaaay to young for his part.  He is very talented, and enjoyable to watch.  He is believable as the character.  Great scene with Luke.

Oh !! and one more gripe....sorry.....ATTENTION HAIR PEOPLE......Luke Spencer looks pretty stupid with this ruffled hair....Come on people, let him be his age...he looks awful !  Poor guy is reduced to being a drunk.  That makes me ANGRY!!  No wonder he floats away for months . With what they have done to him, he is just taking a pay check.  Sad, sad , sad.  but hey...it is 2009 , where the PTB's have managed to screw up plenty. That alone, is very sad.  I will stop now.  ( you're welcome )

  • JJ sounds too prissy when he speaks, and it totally grates on my nerves. I really miss GV's version of Lucky Spencer. The 6 or 7 years he was on the show allowed Lucky to grow into a man, a cop , a husband and lover to Liz, and a father to her children. Besides being a good actor, he was definitely a hot looking guy! I'm sorry, but I'm just not feeling it with JJ, and watching his scenes makes me think I'm still watching Lucky Spencer the kid/and the teenager. He still has the same demeanor and acting techniques as he did as a child actor. What worked so good for him then, is not working for him now as an adult, and I find it unappealing. IMO he was miscast to play Lucky Spencer this time around. He should have returned to GH as a different character and involved more with the younger cast. He looks more age appropriate to be romantically involved with either LULU or Maxie, but Liz seems way too mature for him. JMO
  • I totally agree!! He no longer fits this mature version of Lucky.

You're so right.  I don't think he's aware of what he's doing.  Maybe he'll stop the bobbling when he sees some of his scenes.  It is so evident because the others keep their heads still when they are listening to him.  And that little tuft of hair under his lower lip has bugged me since I first saw him.  I miss GV.

I actually thought he was mesmerizing today in his scenes with Luke.  He was amazing and all I thought when I watched it was "Emmy"!

I think he's doing great (given what he has to work with). I can't imagine being even slightly interested in GV's Lucky talking to Mac. But yesterday when Lucky and Mac were talking, it just felt so right somehow. I was interested even though it wasn't that interesting.

    I have to disagree 100%.

JJ is "acting". He's low key, accomplishing more than all the over the top actors who bulge their eye, shout and use exaggerated mannerisms. JJ is using his facial expressions in a very natural way that works. JMO.

  • You said a mouthful, Helena. Low key is so much better than the theatrics we are forced to endure with many other actors. Does anyone else ever think that LW is going to swallow her own head some day? Of course, we already know how over the top MB is. dd
  • I don't mean bobble head as in dufus...I'm referring to is shaking.
