It's been a week but I am still naueous over this storyline. Sonny is trying to kill her brother Johnny so she puts a hit out on him. Standard mob antics. Unfortatnely Michael gets hit in the cross fire. Terrible accident that happens in their world of violence. So where is the part where she deserves to be practically decapitated with an ax, burried in the woods and stepped on after wards? Nothing, this was one of the most digusting things I have ever seen on this show. And that is saying a lot.
What part of this storyline did Bob go? Yeah the mostly middle-age female audience is going to eat this up! They are just waiting to hear Sonny caller Claudia a whore and have her hunted down like a rabbid dog? What is he thinking with this crap? Sonny has shot his wife in the head, put hits out on his former lawyer, police officers, rival mobsters and anyone else who gets in his way. He has caused almost everyone around him to get shot at one time or another. Jason has commited multiple murders. And not to mention the damage Sonn has done to Michael.
So sorry but I will not see Claudia as this horrible monster that had to be stopped. She did not do anything anymore worse than what Sonny or Jason have done. How Johnny could not go after Sonny is beyond me. But in the end not matter what Sonny will win and he and Jason will continue to terroize this town. While all the female character will tell us how good fathers they are and good people. THIS SHOW MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH!!!!!! Please someone fire Bob Guza!!! People are looking at JJ and RH and saying what is missing from now and 1999? Simple, good writing. JJ and RH can only do so much. Nobody likes Liz because she is banging her husband brother. Again you are making a show of unrootable characters. That is why no one cares and are not emotionally invested in these characters. Because they are unlikeable. What is James Frano thinking? How could he walk into this mess? Of course Bob made damn sure he is going to be in Sonny and Jason's storyline. You better believe he will be used to prop up Sonny and Angerboy. No way is he coming on to be a doctor? LMAO. Sorry any publicity Franco brings with him is going to be given to Sonny and Jason.

I think the messsage here is the sum of what you said when you add all the componants. Men like GH perhaps more than the women who watch it. I know lots of men watch soaps. I understand that the troops watch GH, and many celebrities, both male and female. Hell, House watches GH.
With that you probably have your answer to why Franco would want to do a stint on GH. To the guys, Soily and Jasus are cool. And the women are hot on GH. There's a lot of voilence and guns and death and cleavage. There's couger sex.
Not only that General Mobsville is about revenge and whorish women getting their just dues paid to them by the moral compass of GH, Sonny. Guza has turned GH into a male action soap that would also appeal to teenagers.
There is no writing as far as I'm concerned. What we hear is banal dialogue to fill in segues between action shots. GH is plot driven and the only good writing is saved for rare scenes during sweeps. The rest of the time the typing chimps are in control.
Guza is a misogynist with an adolescent mind who has turned GH into a circus, a "Jerk de Soilay".

I guess it's no surprise here for you Logan. I'm liking it. The only thing that disturbs me is that this is daytime TV and I hope there are not little ones out there watching this. A "little love in the afternoon" was considered too racey for the kiddies back in the day, but I'll admit I didn't always turn off the TV if they woke up a little early from their nap. Hopefully DVR and Soapnet will encourage Mom's to watch when they are not there.
As for Claudia's murder, I thought it was brilliantly played out. I could forgive her Michael's shooting because it was unintentional, but whenshe put out a hit on Michael in Mexico, that made her unredeemable. Conceiving a child for the sole purpose of saving her own hide with no regard for the child until she lost it. But then she bonded with her baby and had genuine materal instincts.
She was sick, hateful, twisted with little bits of humanity thrown in the mix. Sonny and Jason are criminals, but have never, and would never even think about threatening, let alone executing, a hit on an enemies child. This woman deserved to die, horribly.

Claudia's death showed the most despicable, vile scenes I've ever seen on daytime TV. They were a horror show that far eclipsed her actions. I used to dislike her but by then, I only felt pity. It was soap writing straight from the sewer. For whom? Are soap fans so inured to violence that this was seen to be exciting TV? I'll never figure this one out.
