This is far enough back that I no longer remember the details about the character, but my foggy memory has fished up his name: Damien Smith. Now, was he Frank Smith's long lost son, arriving a good long time after Frank Smith was killed? And he was trusted by some for a time, but ended up being killed by -- LAURA? With a BASEBALL BAT? During a house FIRE? Or am I wrong?
I've known that Spinelli's real name was Damien, or Damian. But all the rumors would have had him turn out to be Sonny's get and I am not interested in any more offspring of Sonny's turning up. But Damian, that's a name to pass on, huh? The future spoilers have said that presumably when Spinelli finds out who his father is, he will beg Jason not to tell anybody. Most of the people who were in some way connected with the name of Damien Smith are long gone from the canvas. It was the Ward house he was in when Laura caught him, wasn't it? She had been working with Mary Mae-- some of this is coming back to me. Or was it Justus, Mary Mae's grandson, who really whopped the guy over the head? Some help here, please. And why would they name little Spinelli Damien if they never let him be called that? Damien, son of Damien, son of Frank, and who was his grandma? Or his mother? Is that a Zachara I think I see hiding behind the draperies? Claudia's mama didn't die, she as just crazy and is still alive. Maybe Spinelli deserves some of that sisterly concern Clauida has been heaping on him.

Message: Didn't Damien Smith go to bed with Bobby in connection with a bet he made with Lucy Coe? Wasn't Bobby married to Tony Jones at the time and when he found out he literally threw her out of the townhouse?

Message: Well, this is interesting. Very interesting--and possible. Let's see, Frank Smith was going with and engaged to Susan Moore at one time--Jason's real mother. She was playing hostess at his parties and so on. At that time, Damien was banned and Frank made it sound as if he'd been killed for being disloyal. He told Jennifer she should be careful about what she knew about his mob business--'remember what happened to your brother'. If Damien and Susan Moore ever got together or Susan got pregnant by Frank, Jason and Spin would actually be related! Thus the hints at 'brothers'. Only that would make Spin older than Jason... oh, well.
Laura was tried for Damien's murder, but acquited when it was discovered someone else was there and did it.

Message: I'm pretty sure It was Laura who did DS in. Those were good days, I love Mary Mae and all the story line surrounding her and the Q's. I think it would be great if Spin was a Smith. And Yeah, I think Damian was Franks son. I remember his talking about his sister Jenny. I can't wait for spin to find a Daddy, but I agree with everone else, JUST NOT SONNY!

If this theory is true, this would also present an uncomfortable situation for Spinelli and Lulu since Laura KILLED his father. Not to mention Maxie would have a field day with the information. LOL

Message: The man that Laura whopped over the head was her stepfather, Rick Webber. And I'm with you, I DO NOT want Spinelli's father to be Sonny. I was hoping it would be Alan Quartermaine so he could be Jason's brother. Or Noah's son. Anybody's son but Sonny's. I don't care if he's Bozo the Clown's son as long as he's not Sonny's son!
