I still think the father (AZ) did the shooting for the reason mentioned below-Johnny was kidnapped and tortured by Sonny. Using mob family logic, AZ targeting Sonny's son would make sense.

Why hasn't anyone in PC thought of this??! It's so obvious...

Because don't they still all think he is paralized. I would not assume him as the shooter if I though he could not move from the neck down - he just sprung that little tidbit on Rick yesterday and it seemed his upper body is ok but not there yet there on the lower body. So how would he have done all that anyway if he did it himself? He could have ordered the hit a long time ago so why now? If he wanted to kill Sonny hell if any of these fake arse mob wanna be's wanted Sonny dead then really all they have to do is hire someoen to walk up to Sonny and shoot him in the head. Man, Sonny has more lives then my neighbors cat!

We did see Claudia engage Devlin to shoot Sonny. If it turns out there were two shooters, maybe AZ is involved. Anyway, his recovery IS miraculous since it takes physical therapy to recover the use of one's limbs after paralysis. (Laura didn't need any either!) Of course, given that this is soap and that AZ may be faking still about his legs not working yet, anything is possible. Not necessarily believable, but possible. GHFan

Who could blame them IMO. If I was a mob family and someone kidnapped and tortured me or my brother, I would have him killed too.
