Subject: What an unusual ''take'' you have on Jason. I'm glad that you enjoyed his irritating the judges and having fun while doing it. How immature must one be to do that???? Jason, while playing games, has wasted everyone's time and took a spot that many others so desperately wanted. I call that selfish and self-centered. He was on nation TV and made a fool of himself. So, while HE was having so much fun, people were deriding HIM. Hey, whatever floats his boat! Btw, all contestants get 90 seconds. /sb

Subject: The only 'fools' are those who take this show seriously. It's become a joke. And, yes, I'm glad Jason gave the judges the middle finger (basically what the did when he purposely forgot his lines). The judges lines are scripted. Certain contestants are given special treatment, coaching, pre-scripted reviews from the judges, longer song, etc... It's so obvious that it's become more fun to watch how easily people are duped than the actual competition. I'm immature? No - just entertained! Nicky

Subject: sb - maybe you were calling Jason immature (not sure if you were insulting me, him or both!). I think he's just had enough of this sham. It's painfully obvious that he's not easily brainwashed into becoming part of the AmericanIdol machine. I believe that it turned out to be a very different experience than what he expected, that he doesn't like how other contestants were treated (or not treated). This is not the 'American Dream' anymore than the fixed game shows of the past were. Nicky

Subject: Nicky........I called Jason's behavior immature. I wasn't calling YOU immature. I understand all too well about this show and how it ''works''. I do my homework so I know what I'm talking about (hopefully) when I post the topic and reply. I understand that Jason was making a statement last evening and we can only guess what he's put up with. However, he is an adult and should conduct himself as one. By singing as he did, he is no better than those he probably dislikes intensely. As I posted before, his interview, after he's voted off, should be very telling. That's HIS opportunity to speak at that time. Previous contestants have spoken pretty openly about what really goes on. I suppose it's up to Jason, isn't it? One must be careful if considering pursuing a career. Summing up, he chose to strike back at the wrong time and in the wrong way. I hope there are no hard feelings. I certainly never mean to insult anyone on the boards. /sb
