Subject: Well of course you have had the fancy California tomato preparation! Ha. It's easy. They are sort of tart, but not super tart like they look like they might be. You just slice them about 1/4'' and salt them just a little after wetting them a little. Toss 'em in corn meal and fry in a skillet in oil. I found out the best way is to fry them in a skillet that can easily hold 1'' of oil. I put my stove eye on 4.5 with 6 being the highest. You put them in one at a time and arrange them. Then when they look like they need turning over, turn them over with a fork. Watch yourself with the splashing though. Hot oil can be a tad painful. So no turning them over with fluorish - finesse works much better when working with heat. I will shut up now. Well, no I won't. Then you put the finished produce on about 3 layers of paper towels on a plate. Let them cool, and then enjoy. The end. Really. eom/pm

Subject: Thanks!! Sounds simple enough. I'll make a few someday for company. I bet they pack a whollop of calories with all that oil! But it's worth a taste anyway. ~~misspm
