Subject: My mom had told me about it. A few years ago, I wrote him a long letter...all about his role in my adoption. We saw him shortly after I wrote the letter. He said, ''ML, thank you for your letter.'' And then he looked at me for a few seconds, and he winked. That was it. Because he was a really good priest. And that wink meant everything...Here's the funny part, Geri...I typed about this before. We went to his, I dunno, 50th or 60th annivesary as a priest. I thought it would just be our family. There were LOADS of people in this church in Greenwich Village where he was brought into the priesthood. All of the sudden, I realized...he was to all of these people like he was to our family. But when we needed him, he was always there. An amazing person...eom (ML)
