Subject: As I explain in my post above, the main thing which the GPS system gives you which maps do not is the ability to tell where you are. With just a map, you have to rely on street signs, etc., to figure that out, which is fine, too, but sometimes it's nice to have something which will tell you where you are without that. eom--RK
