Subject: I guess because it is such a delicate subject...I'm scared and feel like I need to be totally ''justified'' in telling her (or anyone) something that could so drastically change the rest of their life. cgem eom

Subject: Yes, of course! I hope you don't think i was taking that lightly. I guess my thought...and I don't know a lot about autism, but the sooner you know the better right? Has this childs Dr not noticed anything? Like I startd to say, I would think of the child and I would hope the mom/dad would know that I just had the childs best interest at heart. Maybe a simple, ''Has he/she been to to the Drs about this issue'' Or maybe just letting this person know that you are concerned and think the child should see a specialist? good luck and please keep us posted............Nichol

Subject: I have tried dropping little hints such as, ''Minime did the exact same thing when she was that age.'' Today I casually asked if he was on track with his developmental milestones and she told me that she doesn't pay attention to those things. Yes, the sooner autism is detected the better. cgem eom
