Additional Comments: ratings on NBC and USA. It didn't matter which of the three actresses Noth was paired with, D'Onofrio always defeated Noth in the ratings on a poll taken on the website. I don't know what people have against Detective Goren. He's the best detective in my book.

Message: I posted my Goren love in the earlier topic, but glad to know he and Eames beat Noth in the ratings.

I love Goren and Eames. To me, the show wouldn't be the same if they weren't partners, they're that vital to the show. I like Logan, but he's not the character that the whole series was supposedly based upon. Goren is supposed to be Dick Wolf's version of Sherlock Holmes. Goren is so smart and has such a varied intellect because he reads constantly. Logan is a player, so he's more social. Because Goren is so not-social (I wouldn't call him anti-social, exactly), he needs the human touch that Eames brings to the partnership. She's the one that has to kick him between the shoulder blades sometimes to get his attention. But inside, Goren is a wounded soul, stuck loving and hating his familial history and situation. He's vulnerable, so he hides behind his intellect.
I won't miss Noth, but I'm not looking forward to Jeff Goldblum. I've never liked him, particularly, but maybe I will this time. I will give him a chance.

Message: Hi BB. Not sure why you didn't just post this in your last thread, but I explained why I don't like Goren there. Also - have you checked out the TV Talk board here on MD? That's a great place for people to chat about Prime Time TV shows.
