Here are my salad dressing recipes.
Fresh herb vinaigrette
Ingredients
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup vinegar
1 - 2 tsp sugar
1 tbl basil, finely chopped
1/2 tsp dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp black pepper
Directions
In a screw-top ja combine oil, vinegar, sugar, basil, mustard, garlic and pepper. Cover and shake well. Let sit for 1/2 hour before serving. Shake before serving. You can store this covered in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Orange-poppy seed dressing
Ingredients
3 tbl sugar
1 1/2 tsp finely shredded orange peel
2 tbl orange juice
2 tbl vinegar
1 tbl finely chopped onion
dash pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp poppy seed
Directions
In a food processor or blender, combine sugar, orange peel, orange juice, vinegar, onion and pepper. Cover and process or blend until combined With processor or blender running, slowly add 1/3 cup olive oil in a steady stream until mixture is thickened. Stir in poppy seeds. Let sit for 1/2 hour before serving. Shake well before serving. Can store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
