It is still on schedule to be able to make the chicago connection, but if not, we're all screwed and grammie will have to rent a car to get back because i can't go up by myself and chris can't get off work.

I'm a little confused. Are you just worrying again? You said the train is on schedule to make the connection. Do you have some reason to think they may not, or are you just hypothesizing? It's good to have a plan B, I agree. Give me more info before I join in on the worrying. In the meantime, I will pray that the train schedule runs on time. Is it 3 a.m. on Sat or Sun. Or Mon? I'm thinking it is Sun, since you would leave on Sat, so you would be picking up really late Sat, but it is really Sun morning. Is that confusing enough? Have a skyline for me. I'm not a big fan, but I would do it once or twice a year.

Well, it SAYS it's on schedule, BUT... the train from Los Angeles left FIVE HOURS LATE. So they have to make up time during the trip... so I am freaking out. I guess that's a fancy way of saying ''hypothesizing'' lol eom/pm

Oh, and you're correct it being Sunday morning (3:17 a.m. scheduled arrival time). But then if I say Sunday then peopel think Sunday DAY and I'm like, no actually Saturday night/Sunday morning/whatever you want to call it LOL. I guess we'll drive on up to Cincinnati but not hurry. It's a five hour or so drive but I can stretch it out by stopping to pee 900 times.eom/pm

Okay, I see. Five hours is quite a bit of time, but what you said below makes sense re: cheaper to get the people on the train than pay for hotels. Hopefully it all works out. LOL about stopping to pee 900 times. inside pm..........

RELAX!!! Delays happen all the time with planes, trains and automobiles. : ) Call AMTRAK if it makes you happy. DEMAND that they wait for Grammie and your baby. Seriously. It might make you feel better. I've never been one for trains, but I know planes often wait when conecting flights are delayed....

RELAX!! Your baby will get home to you and your pretty salad in as good, if not better shape then he left in!

I heart you too! My pretty salad, Ha. I read that to him and he got a little smile on his face right while he was trying to swallow his milkshake, LOL. Yeah, I called Amtrak and if there is not a HUGE delay, they hold the train. The Amtrak lady said that it is much more economical to HOLD a train than to pay for hotels for everyone on the late train. So hopefully things will be ok. The train did make up some time though; I checked online. I hope it continues to make up time! eom/pm

Unfortunately, no. I have to drive up to Cincinnati hopefully tomorrow. If it's after tomorrow we have two options - I drive ALONE, or Grammie rents a car. She already toyed with the renting a car option because of my surgery, and Chris is off from work only until Monday and the next train might not arrive until then and he has to go to work the next day. Hopefully the train will make up time. I SURE DO HOPE SO! Option 3 which is a far-fetched option is to go to Chicago and pick them up. eom/pm
