Okay, so for all of you who are sick, or have sick kids what 3 things are driving you nuts, or would you like to complain about? Then, pick 3 things you are thankful for. Yes, this is my dumb game, but that is what us sick people do, come up with dumb things. LOL!!!
My 3 complaints:
1. I am tired of aches all over my body, especially my legs...
2. I want the energy to wash my hair. It's so YUCKO!!!
3. I have lost two weekends where I could have had fun, but instead I am at home in bed :(((
Thankful
1. I didn't end up in the ER
2. That my husband is trying to take care of me.
3. I have a roof over my head.
I hope everyone feels better soon...

ok lisa...here i am. i'm repeating myself but it's like i've had this ticking cough for the last 2-3 weeks and unable to deal with it since my son was so sick. now that he's ready to go back to school wednesday, he's eating and healthier, I'M SICK!
it all came out today/last night. Ugh..i even went to urgent care just to make sure it wasn't respiratory. anyway, got an inhaler and antibiotics (in case it isn't viral) but all the crap is coming out.
so...i hate:
1) itchy eyes
2) COUGHING..MY HEAD HURTS
3) missing my hair appt tomorrow and man do i need it!
i love:
1) my mom is home and is making vegetable soup tomorrow
2) all the laundry is done and house is clean since the swine incident
3) i have sick time and it's slow so i'm not too worried
Feel better!
I'm knocking on wood now, but we've been pretty good. HockeyToddler received the H1N1 vax yesterday, so I'm a bit relieved about that.
Hi Lisa! HOPE your well soon!
I have had my traditional fall whatever. Bit of a sore throat, bit of a cough, headache, slight drizzle of the nose, some congestion...but not a lot of anything.
This too shall pass. Don't know if my immune system is really reved and it could have been worse, or it is just the same old virus I manage to get every year. But this year it hasn't been as severe. don't know..but glad I don't have the worse kind!!!!

We are nearly over it here. Hubby was confirmed H1N1 and is now getting better. Sons had mild doses of something. I didn't get a thing, but I work in a germ laden environment anyway, so likely was immune. Of course, being a man, hubby dragged about moaning and groaning and holding his head until I threatened him. He finally trucked to the clinic for a diagnosis. Lost a little over a weeks work, all unpaid of course. He is starting to look better though.
My major pet peeve are the parents who won't allow their kids to stay home when sick. I teach Kindergarten and these things spread quickly. I had, on average, 8 kids away everyday last week. The parents would drag their kids in, visibly ill, green, pale, dripping noses, headaches and red eyes. I bite my tongue when I hear '' He had a fever but I gave him Tylenol and now it is gone.'' Well, duh! Of course it is gone. Let the Tylenol wear off and see if it returns before you declare him healthy. That's why everyone is still ill. Sheesh.
There are sanitizer machines everywhere. Not sure how healthy that is in the long term. Will that make us open to hardier germs in the future? And who had the brain fart about sneezing and coughing into their sleeve. An adult might do that and be okay. A child, at least in my classroom, is more likely to leave a gross trail on their sleeve. I can make them wash their hands but I cannot launder their sleeves and those stay on all day.

Oops. Second half of post. I am thankful for our weather; it is crisp, cool, sunshiney fall weather; just gorgeous here! At the moment, we are all well. The two granddaughters are bursting with health and happiness and the 11-year-old has her weekend homework done. I am busy right now working on a large mosaic piece and that always makes me happy. Come inside to see pictures of the girls all dressed up for Hallowe'en, 9-year-old Goth and 11-year-old mime. http://www.mosaicroad.blogspot.com

Poor Lisa! I am so sorry you are sick.
Both my granddaughters (who live with me) have been sick. We didn't take them to the doctor (they each came down with a fever on a Friday and were better by Monday). First, one was sick, then a week later, the other one, then a week later, I came down with it. Light cases, though, whatever it was; our main symptoms were fever, sore throat, and stuffy noses.
The 11 year old missed one day of school, a Monday, and that was a nightmare. Sixth grade is hard! The math teacher is a dragon; no late work accepted, arghhh. So anyway, we've all been down and are back up At the Moment, but who knows what winter will bring. Lots of illness throughout the school system here. One sixth grader had H1n1 and was out for a full week.
Drink plenty of water! That's my advice. Lots of water will help flush out the sickness and help with the fever. Get better soon!

I don't want to jinx it but we all are fine and healthy here. But were were sick, (not flu) last month for just a few days.
I heard today, when you eat too much candy or sugar, it depletes your white cell count, so your immune system is more likely to be weakened~!
So take extra Vitamins and Vit C when you eat lots of candy!!
