Has anyone else noticed that you have to give your password every time on here? I was able to make one post, and after that I no longer needed my password as long as I was still on MD.
I used to be able to type my message, and if I had mistakes I would click edit. Now, that no longer works.
I sure appreciate all the tips and help. I will try what Mr. Gill suggested. I, too, when trying to edit, get a blank screen. I hope this works. Thank you so much everyone for your help!!

Fay and everyone I just sent Michael Gill a email on this (and some other stuff) he is very nice to respond so quickly he said:
Delete the browser cookies close the browser and then re-open it -- that should fix the problem

Now I did this on internet explorer and it worked great, but not on mozilla, I am going to have my hubby check for me later.
Bonk

Message: I was going to comment on this the other day. When I first started posting here, I rarely had to sign in with my password. It didn't matter if I was at work or at home. In the past few days, I've had to sign in every single time, even if I've just posted something a moment ago. Weird! I just cleaned out my cookies, erased my history and temp files and all that...and still I have to sign in each time. Good thing I finally have my password memorized!!

Message: That happens to me now and then. It's tiresome but if I am patient it seems to correct itself. I've never delete my cookies or did anything different at all. It just happens and then a few days later it's fixed. I always figure the site needed some tweaking and Mr Gill did just that. Computers are so strange!!! LOL

Message: I have to give my password every time, too!!! So annoying. Can the board monitor prevent someone/anyone from posting anon???

Message: I used to have that problem , but it is fine now.
I think it largely depends on your browser settings. At work, I have to type it in every time, but at home, I do not.

Message: For years I had to put my password in one time on MD and it would last until the next day. When they shut the board down I couldn't post until I deleted cookies and had to use a password more. The last few days it's gone back to that when for quite awhile I had no problems like in the old days.

Message: If you delete your cookies, clear your history, close your browser, and come back. you may be able to edit again. This used to happen to me a lot, and to others, and this was the thing that Mr. Gill had suggested to do

Message: I have always had to give my password for every time I log in, for every post I make, for every edit I do no matter what. My posting window is also bare-bones with no font or color options and forget ever being able to post a picture. Those options are not available to me at any time.
Depends on the day. I can go days and not have to give the PW. Some days it is several times a day. Maybe it is like random drug testing, just picks and chooses every so many post or something. I don't know.
I use a program called Roboform. So when ever I need to put in my password, there is a little icon at the top of the page that says Mediadomain. I click it and it fills in the PW and my name.

Message: I use explorer and firefox as browsers (I just interchange between the two - don't know why) and when I use firefox, I always have to enter my pass word. Don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Message: me too! it has happened b4 and I could correct it. Sephora said she had that problem also. I thought it was Mozilla Firefox but was having the same problems on internet Explorer. But for a little time on my Desk top, HP Vista computer, I could edit. But not here on my lap top. I can not edit. luckily, firefox remembers my password so I don't have to actually put it in each time.
I think maybe it is bc of all the anons so MD decided to tighten up security? Do you think thats it? Because lately no anons!
