Topic: OMG...Did Anybody See Dr. Phil With the Perv Grandfather?

Additional Comments: You know what? That was ridiculous. OMG...I felt sick when the daughter heard the results from the polygraph. That never should have aired. True, I have a remote at hand. True, I watched it. True that's part of the problem. But it shouldn't have aired. OMG...

Sad. Very sad. I guess I take away from this story that I'm very thankful that I didn't have to go through any sexual molestation when I was a child. I really am very grateful for that. This is the kind of stuff that totally destroys a person for life. It robs them of innocence, honesty and trust. I really feel so bad for people who've been destroyed by sexual predators--and its even a bit more horrendous when its someone in the family. Just awful.

Oh that was awful.  That guy is one sick #a($!  It was really creepy how when anyone said anything negative about him and the audience would clap, he would smile/laugh and clap also.  Huh?!  His wife looked whacked out too.  I hope the daughter and grandson can get some help...sounds like he is already pretty far gone though.  So sad.

I don't know.  I think the grandfather completely blocked any wrong doings out of his head.  I think he really and truly believes he did nothing.  Maybe he's crazy.  Can really insane people do that?  I think it's easy to forget and block out bad things, especially if they happened a long time ago.  JMO

  • I know what you mean about denial. He would readily admit molesting his siblings but not his child and grandchild. Maybe the statue of limitiation ran out on the older abuse cases. auggie

That guy made me want to vomit. Every time he tried to use the name of Jesus as his defense, I wanted to reach thru the TV and strangle him. I hope everyone he knows saw this show, his pastor, his church, his friends, his neighbors and I hope that he will never know a moment of peace for the rest of his sick life.

And I don't feel anything better against his wife. I've heard of living in denial but, my lord, she walked in on him molesting their 2 week old baby. She's either extremely stupid or extremely naive. I felt for the brother, he really didn't know what to believe. If he has children of his own, I hope he is able to sit down with them and determine whether the sicko had ever been touchy-feely with them.

And the idea of him working at a bible camp this summer - absolutely insane. He's a disgusting piece of garbage!

For the morbidly curious (like me): http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/1070.  YUCK!  This grandfather should be in PRISON, not on television!!!!

IMO ... Dr. Phil is an idiot.  His show should be canceled.  He is NOT a psychiatrist (psychologists don't go to medical school).  He completely exploits people for the sake of ratings.  When the public reacts negatively to his tactics to get "someone big" on the show, he blames his staff for allegedly breaking the rules, when the staff just follows his instructions.

    Dr. Phil should be abolished.

You may now return to your scheduled programming.  : )

  • This one was completely over the top...eom (ML)
  • Actually, Dr. Phil isn't even a licensed psychologist in Texas any longer. My former boss, a psychologist, knows of him. Seems that someone accused him of inpropriety and rather than deal with it, he just let his license lapse. But he may have been stripped of the license. How does someone who's been accused of unethical behavior get his own show? Anyway, that's what I was told. Now, check inside for more:.............

It was just over and that guy is a SICKO.  I agree they should have NEVER aired those results, especially as fragile as the daughter was.  That poor woman is flawed for life as it is and that just made matters worse.  I just hope to God they DO NOT let that man work in a church camp. How about him claiming he is not a pedophile??
