Well, I love dogs as much as the next person but those yapping mutts barking to the tune of Jingle Bells just don’t cut it for me.
And that stuttering, stammering Elmer Fudd version of Blue Christmas just makes me wince.
As a grandmother I am beyond offended at the thought of Grandma getting run over by a reindeer.
Frankly, it is all I can do to put up with the forced gaiety and frivolity of 12 hours of Christmas, the thought of 12 days of it makes me want to tear my hair out.
And you?

I'm sure someone has mentioned this one already....Last Christmas by Wham. It gets stuck in my head for days...and I really only know 2 lines from it, so it's like they're on constant repeat in my brain. I want to scream!
Though I kind of secretly like the song....but of course I'd never admit that. ;)

This is the one that gets me a little weepy (in a good way) every year. I recorded a version of it with my brother accompanying me on piano, but I could never do it the justice Nat "King" Cole does.... Listen!!!

Message: Anything by Johnny Mathis. Seriously. I just can't stomach that man's voice!!! Oh, and Manheim Steamroller is icky, too. I have only heard the barking dogs once this year and I've been listening to Christmas music in my car and at work since Thanksgiving weekend ended.

I don't like anything silly or cutsey-just regular Christmas songs, like Silent Night, Away in a Manger, Have yourself a Merry Little Chistmas, Joy to the World etc.
I'm passed being interested in Frosty and his band of children following him through the town, or Rudolph leading the way by his red nose, Mommy tickling Santa Claus underneath the mistletoe or his beard so snowy white, or that the Chipmunks want Christmas to hurry and don't be late or that all they want are their two front teeth.

All of 'em mentioned by everyone else annoys me too. I do love the traditional Christmas songs sung by a choir or good musicians, a few of whom put out nicely done Christmas albums.
Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bell Rock, Wonderful Christmastime, Santa Baby, all those just make me crazy. And the joke ones, Chipmunks, Porky Pig, the dogs barking or Grandma I can't even believe are still getting airplay. Sorry, I just got back from some shopping and all this stuff was blasting in the stores. Aaarrrgghh!!

Message: 'Little Drummer Boy' - it just drags on and on with that slow ''pa rum pum pum pum''. I'm just like ''get to the end already''!

Message: I hate when any rock star sings Christmas songs. It just sounds so wrong. I hate feliz Natividad, and Grandma got run over by a raindeer, and Rockin around the Christmas tree, and Jingle Bells. On the other hand I love The LIttle Drummer Boy, sung by Bing Crosby and David Bowie, and just about anyone else that sings it.

LTV, I was laughing at your grandma getting run over by a reindeer song. The version I am used to is: Grandma Got Run'ed Over By a Reindeer...She didn't get run over or ran over.....
It's no wonder people think Southerners are all rednecks or hillbillies.......LOL
I don't care much for the novelty songs either. Just give me songs like: White Christmas, Oh Holy Night, Silent Night and Blue Christmas.
Here is a pretty version of Oh Holy Night by Celtic Women

The Christmas Shoes ---it's emo, holiday style. The last thing I want to hear this time of year is a song about a kid's mom dying on Christmas Eve. Jesus can at least wait until New Year's to take her.
Any Christmas song sung by Beyonce---she oversings and drags out notes so her songs end up being 18 minutes long. She must like to hear herself wail, but I don't. Same goes for any Christmas song Jessica Simpson sings.
Barbra Streisand's version of Jingle Bells---she sings it like she's desperately trying to find a bathroom.
James Brown's version of Sleigh Ride---picture some cokehead trying to sing this song but adding his own lyrics and forgetting everything else, and you've got this song. His whole Christmas album is a mess.

I dislike pretty much all the novelty songs, the Chipmunks, Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer, any Jingle Bells version sung (woofed?) by dogs or meowed by cats.

I like most Christmas music, but I get SO SICK of Last Christmas by Wham! It's a good song in small measures but for some reason it gets extremely overplayed.
I also hate the one that rambles on about some kid wanting to buy shoes for his sick mother.

The Chipmunks -- please, please make them stop!
Santa Baby -- I hate, hate, hate the way it's sung all *cute* and *sexy*... gives me the creeps. Blech!
The jazzed up version of Jingle Bells -- *JA JA JA Jingle Bells*... oh just sing it the regular way. LOL.
Brenda Lee's Jingle Bell Rock - her voice just irritates me.
Gee thanks, now I sound like a humbug! LOL.
