Additional Comments:
Our teacher, Marcy Clark, emailed us back with the info we requested. States needed, official rules...
(I feel like I am in the third grade again)! THANKS all for helping out! I didn't know what the special prize was until I read this.
This is what she sent.
We would love to involve anyone who wants to share postcards with our students. Have your friends address their cards to Hannah Betts and send them to the school addressed to
Mrs. Clark’s Social Studies Class,
Van Buren Elementary School,
301 S. Main St.
Van Buren, OH 45889.
We prefer picture postcards. They can be sent from residents of the state or while people are vacationing. All postcards are recorded and displayed in my classroom.
At the end of the year, Hannah will get to keep any post cards she receives. The child with the most cards gets a giant candy bar!
We also will accept postcards from other countries and we display those also, but they don’t count in the contest for most postcards in the USA collected.
We still need postcards from Delaware, R.I. ,Washington, and West Virginia.
We currently have about 200 postcards on display. Thanks for helping out!

Message:
She said she received one from the edge of California. I asked San Diego? She wasn't so positive about that...I asked San Francisco? a huge Yeah! came out. misspm, was that you and your group?
Toader, Pittsburg?
Mass, Cecilia?
Sandy, did you get one out from Michigan?
I am not sure on this one if it was Miss. or Missouri....
The three from Texas from Silva and the girls and one from AZ.
So, keep them coming for wherever you travel, or if you have some friends in other places, share with them.

Message: We mailed another postcard yesterday. It won't count but they can still enjoy the picture and the cool stamps. My friend sent it to me from Peru so I put labels over my name and put Hannah's name instead and I put it inside an envelope and mailed it to her class.
