''Guiseing'' was similar to ''Trick or Treating'' except you had to perform for what you got, which was either coins or candies. My first experience was as a 3 year old ''guised'' as an Eskimo, and singing ''She's My lady-love.'' I think I got a sixpence for that, if my memory serves me correctly.
The only one I'm sure of is Number 16!! You would not believe the big deal they make of ''Nevada Day'' here! The kids all had school off today to celebrate!?! I have never heard of a state making such a fuss about the day they became a state!!! I lived in Wisconsin my whole life and never heard a word about when it became a state!!!
Does anyone else know when their state became a state????
I love trivia...even tho' I usually STINK at it!!! Thanks for the fun questions. Can't wait to see the answers. GJ
