Subject: You didn't see them getting it on, because in fact they really didn't. The story was invented retrocactively to mess with Dan/Chelsea. I think it was first conceived when Kate was in the hospital and refused to let Dan operate on her. Just another sample of Days revisionism. It's okay with me as long as they drop Dan and Chelsea.
