Additional Comments: This may have been discussed before elsewhere, but here are the scenes she chose for Emmy consideration...from NBC website....

For her submission, Rachel chose the episode in which Chelsea learns that Billie and Nick slept together. "I was really comfortable with my performance with Julie and Blake," Rachel told us. "I felt like there was one scene in particular that had been my best work to date. I felt like if I didn't get nominated, at least I wouldn't have had any regret about what I submitted. I would've known that I put my best work out there."

For her second episode, Rachel chose one involving her sorority sisters; they invited rapist Ford Decker over and he ended up dead. Most of the time, you see clips of nominees crying. "Sometimes," as Rachel pointed out, "it's refreshing to see someone not crying. So the one that I picked, I looked completely different, I was acting completely different, it was from one side of the spectrum to the other and I thought it was a nice contrast."

I don't understand when you said 'SHE' entered - - -  etc. She sent herself in for a nomination? How the heck does this all work? If the nominatees are submitted by themselves, I guess that would explain Max.

IMO neither of those scenes warrants an Emmy - but that's just me.

  • Agree, and if the actor submits the nomination themselves, then what is the point of nominations?
  • People, or the companies they work for, submit their material to these award shows for consideration. Then the Emmy panel views the materials sent in to them and make the nominations from the submissions they receive. This is the case for the Emmys, the Grammys, probably the Oscars too and various other awards shows. You can see entry forms on their respective websites. -coffeemate
