Additional Comments: The old Abbey and the last Replacement Abbey, he had chemistry with them both. He and Stephanie don't do anything for me.

Max was way more interesting when he was the devil-may-care racecar driver who could have any girl he wanted. My problem is I just don't really care about the character one way or the other; he's just sort of there taking up screentime for my part. He's nice looking and not a bad actor but he's just never really done anything to grab my interest.

I agree with you, Max has no SL. Stephanie does, sort of, with her parents and her non-working internship. I thought they were going somewhere with Max when he ripped out the formula page from Nick's book and impressed Nick and everyone with some knowledge of formulas, but that went nowhere.

I still think of Max and Stephanie as Uncle and Niece... sorry but I can't get passed that. I like both characters but not as "bed" buddies.

ITA! I don't care that he's adopted. He's still her uncle. Couldn't they have kept him with Morgan? I liked them together b/c he wasn't related to her & she was a fresh new character. I don't like Steph & Max together & I never will.

As much as I liked Ashley Benson as Abby, I thought Emily Montague (the temporary replacement) didn't do a bad job. When Ashley Benson left the show I think they should have brought Emily Montague back to play her in a permanent role and kept the Max/Abby pairing.

That being said, and I know I'm probably in the minority here, I do like Max and Stephanie together. I know that technically he's her uncle, but they didn't know each other growing up, having not seen each other since Stephanie was like 2 years old, and the family obviously doesn't have a problem with it. When Stephanie first came back to Salem in July of 2006, Max had no idea who she was until he saw her with Steve and Kayla. So, they're not related by blood and have never had an uncle/niece relationship. Plus, it's not like Max has been a Brady his whole life. He wasn't adopted until he was older so he wouldn't really see Stephanie as his niece so much as a member of the family that adopted him when he ran away from his abusive father. Also, it doesn't hurt that Darin Brooks and Shelley Hennig have aot of chemistry.

IMO, Max and Stephanie are a great couple. I would love to see Abby come back now though and decide she's ready for a relationship with Max and start a Mabby/Stax triangle. Abby and Stephanie are cousins and both the good-girl type, so I'd love to see them fighting for the same guy.

Whatever happened with the actress who played Abby?? I have to agree with you. I think Max and Abby had better chemistry. I don't know...maybe the actors aren't comfortable with each other?????
