Additional Comments: I just can't put my finger on it....aside from the fact that Max is her adopted uncle.....but things just don't seem to click with the two. It's almost as if Max wishes Stephanie would just leave him alone...There is zero chemistry. I watched the two of them today and the "I love you" was even uncomfortable..and somehow I knew they were NOT going to do it. And then I saw Kayla and Steve and ONE look from Kayla toward Steve and you could see the amazing love and commitment and we all know they have fireworks! Max....move on!

I have to agree. I hear him saying the words but I feel inside that he wishes she would just leave. I think you are right. I don't FEEL it with them. And I like them both very much.

C'mon kids - this is such a no-brainer. This isn't about spark, clicking, etc - - it's simply about A) Neither of them are very good actors -- and B) the kid that plays Max just plain Sucks!! He is just flat-out into HIMSELF!! He has that same Austin Peck-itis where he is soooooo caught up in only his being 'on-screen' and so ga-ga with himself and he simply CANNOT commit to what his character is supposed to be portraying - and that is why his acting is just sooo incredibly transparent and flimsy. With all his forced nuances - and playing with his mouth and face - there's no CHARACTER who BTW is supposed to be falling with this girl - cause as per it is WRITTEN, Max is supposed to be falling HARD for her - the problem is how Mr. I'm-an-idiot-who-is-so-impressed-with-himself is playing him. gosh- that smelly-looking kid bugs me...

You bashing Darin Brooks and saying that he smells is really getting old. We get it - you don't like him. You don't need to continuously insult the actor - it's really uncalled for. Not trying to start an argument but I'm really tired of reading this everytime Max is discussed. You could be nicer about it and try criticizing the character instead of bashing the actor

It's because of babies like you who just don't 'get' what I'm saying that I DO keep writing it!! I have no interest in bashing the character - that's just yet-another poorly-written product of the lousy writers. Max, the character I couldn't care less about. It IS the actor who gets on my nerves with his smug attitude and pewtrid acting who IMO totally ruins the show. And as much as I try to explain why it is that I don't like him - some people just take that as 'trashing'. To me, he's just a dirty-looking kid who's showing off in front of a camera. He needs to grow up - take some acting classes and stop being all ga-ga with himself thinking he's a fan favorite. He's obviously NOT. To me, he's just a latter-version of Austin Peck and Jason Cook - Days' worst 2 actors EVER. So, if you insist on being a Max-fan, get used to people slamming him - and yes, the actor, not the character. And finally - if you're so tired of reading about my dislike for this kid - then WHY do you keep reading it??? No one is forcing you.

And you don't have to like him. But do you really have to say the same thing every chance you get? We all already know that you don't like Darin Brooks, Jason Cook, or Austin Peck and that you think Darin is dirty. They aren't bad actors, and I'm sure Darin is a very clean person. Granted, I think there are definitely better actors on the show than him, and Max isn't necessarily one of my favorite characters, but he isn't just

I agree with you on one point for sure.........Max does , at times, act like he wishes Stephanie would find something or someone else to spend her time with. He just does not seem to be into her, like she is into him. It seems like she is a young school girl, chasing after a boy, who is not particularly interested.

I hope they don't make Stephanie into a doormat like they've tried to make Kayla and claim it's part of the Brady Bunch DNA-look at Sami. The two are very different Brady women. Stephanie to move on to someone who appreciates her and not settle for less.-lj

Actually, Mary Beth and Steven are best buds and have been since they first day on the set together--and everybody can't be like that. It's a job afterall, some click and some don't--but I like them together. I think they're a great couple--I don't care if he was her adopted brother, I see a spark there. (JMHO)
