Topic: Can Someone Please Answer My 'Horton Family Bloodline' Question Please?

So i recently see a scene between Max and Nick (whats the point of this blake berris character again? - other than for him to get to air in an average of aboout two scenes every two weeks or so that consist of him being portrayed as chelsea's kicked around puppydog...)

Anyway, in the scene i saw, nick CLEARLY refers to himself as a Horton and as a definitive member of the Horton family...But then he goes around calling himself Nick FALLON...huh???

What the he**s a  Fallon??? It doesn't even ryme with Horton lol! The family name FALLON is NOT part of the 40 year history or continuity of the show and i've been watching a loooooooooong time...can someone please explain this to me?

I wasn't watching when Nick appeared... I knew he was Marie's grandson, that he was living with Aunt Maggie and the MIA Uncle Mickey last summer, and that Maggie occasionally used to talk about his family -- but has anyone for his immediate family ever visited him in Salem?

His parents both used to live in Salem then they got married moved away and had Nick. The Christmas before last, I know Doug and Julie gave Nick a present from his parents and said that they had visited them while they were traveling

I guess you weren't watching the show back in the early '80s, when the Marie Horton, Alex Marshall, Jessica Blake story was going on.  For the record, it was a great storyline (IMHO).  Jessica was actually engaged o the Salem Strangler (Jake Kosichek) before she finally married Joshus Fallon and left town (never to be seen, heard from, or mentioned again until Nick showed up.  Actually, unlike most soap characters Nick's age fits nicely with the history of the show.

I have to agree with you about what they are doing to the character.  I like NIck and wish they would give him something to do besides fawn all over Chelsea.  Looks like that's what the new doctor's role is going to be too.  Why all these men go so silly over Chelsea is a mystery to me.  The girl is a vapid airhead.

I agree with you, that was a great storyline. I also like Nick alot, and hope that he sticks around. I had been a Nick/Chelsea fan, but the writers have ruined it for me - being they have her chasing after every new guy that shows up in town. Nick needs to find someone new, along with a new storyline.

PhoenixTamer, I don't get what you're trying to say. Julie is as much of a Horton as Hope - she is Addie's daughter too. And Nick is a Horton by bloodline too. He is Jessica's son who is Marie's daughter who is Tom and Alice's daughter.

So you don't think that Hope, Julie or Addie were Hortons because their last names weren't always  Horton?  What about Sarah & Melissa?  They were Hortons.

Nick's mom was Jessica (Blake) andJoshua Fallon.  Jessica is the child of Marie Horton and Alex Marshall. Marie had a fling with him before she entered the convent to become a nun. She gave up the baby when it was born.  Jessica showed up in Salem when she was grown and found out Marie and Alex were her parents.

Nick Fallon's mother was a Horton. I forget her name, but she was a sister to Marie who was a nun.

I am pretty sure that Nick Fallon's mom is the Horton, who married Fallon and they had Nick.
