Topic: Don’t know when to turn it off

I am not sure when I am going to turn off my PVR and call it the quits.

What is the point of Taylor’s SL? What are the writers saying? That only mother by DNA can have a bond with their child? How come they never showed Taylor having problem with Jack only until a week ago? All of a sudden Rick is convincing her to give up her baby to his own mother when he said he cares for Taylor. They created this SL just to bring problems between Ridge and Brooke again.

So the writers have gone through wrecking Brigit’s marriage and possibly also ending Katie’s only to bring Nick and Brooke coming back again for N’th time. Give me a break.

Are we just supposed to keep watching this horrible story line that insults all mothers? They have ruined Taylor’s character so badly how can they keep writing her like this and call her psychiatrist? and Brooke keep calling herself “Jack’s mother” when she is only an egg donor.

How can Brooke and Nick keep hurting other people without any remorse or consequences for their selfish needs? How many times will Nick change his mind about who he wants to be with? This year alone he has been with 4 women and perhaps coming back to Brook again.

I hope Eric dumps Donna and Stephanie and retires somewhere.. I am going to stop watching this show as it has ruined many characters and the SLs going nowhere or going around and around in circles.

You're right.  Taylor wasn't having any bonding issues with Jack until a week ago.  What about all the months in between? (I mentioned all this in a post somewhere above). The writers must have suddenly stumbled onto another of their ridiculous storylines and within two hours of the one week bonding issue Taylor is handing the baby over to the egg donor.  Taylor is the baby's mother, NOT Brooke. Suddenly out of the blue Taylor can't forget Ridge, yet she has had serious relationships with two men since they broke up (married to one) and never once during all that time has there even been a hint of her thinking of Ridge.  Once again Bridget is dumped on for about the umpteenth time - I think that's the only reason she's in this soap - she's the litter box.  Brooke continues to portray herself as the loving perfect mother when she isn't and has never been. Little Jack will be raised by Katherine just as the other two little ones have been and ignored by Brooke like Rick and Bridget were because she was too busy breaking up relationships and marriages.  Katy has ended up like her two sisters when she, for years, has always been the strong, level headed, logical one.  She's followed suit - another homewrecker. And Nick - it's hard to watch that character jump into bed within ten minutes of breaking up with whomever he is married to or in a relationship with.  The man is a slut, a loser, a sex addict and he has NO conscience or real feelings for anyone but himself.  This soap has gone down the tubes.
