Additional Comments: This whole "Katie as Jack's godmother" business is ridiculous considering Ashley was asked by Taylor to be the godmother shortly after Jack was born... maybe even before, I don't remember exactly. I know that Ashley is no longer seen, and presumably forgotten, but I don't think she ever relinquished her status as Jack's godmother. This show gets dumber by the episode.

Ashley may have been previously asked, but Jack hasn't been baptized yet.

What's to prevent both Ashley and Katie from being Godmother? It's not unheard of.

I have two sets of Godparents, as do my three siblings.

Does anyone remember what Ashley's response/reaction was at the time when Taylor asked her to be Jack's Godmother? Did Ash say yes - if so, then she IS the baby's Godmother! But perhaps she said she'd think about it or it was left up in the air somehow (as so many things are).

Thanks. I have this vague recollection of Ashley hugging Taylor after Taylor asked her to be Jack's Godmother, but I don't remember what Ashley's actual vocal response was - whether she said she was honored and the matter was left up in the air, whether she gave a direct yes or what! eom-Butterfly

Taylor did mention this on one of last week's shows. She basically said she'd talked with Ashley about being Jack's Godmother but that since it had been so long, Ashley would understand if someone else was selected.

Actually, what Taylor said is that Ashley had probably forgotten by now which is a pretty stupid thing to say. Most people consider it quite an honor to be asked to be a god parent, especially by someone who is not even a relative. It's not the kind of thing you simply forget you were asked. ~i&b
