I agree with Linny that the downfall started with what Jr did by stealing the designs. But I don't believe that Donna has helped this situation out at all. She went from what...a waitress...or whatever to modeling and now she's part of the "power" of FC? GMAB.
Brooke I can't blame quite as much, until I know what she does! What does Brooke do? If she's not pinning away for Ridge, or seducing him, or telling Stephanie what she's not going to get away with (lol), or stroking Eric's ego about how much Donna loves him, WHAT DOES SHE DO?

Message: Eric and Rick. The day Rick stole those designs and gave them to JackieM and Erick let him get away with it was the beginning of the end for FC. They were never able to catch up on the season designs and JackieM got the boost they needed to become FC's competition. After that, Eric, Rick and Ridge allowed their personal life to get in the way of coming up with new sets of designs quickly and started all of that inner fighting. It was disastrous for FC even though FC often allows personal turmoil to dictate the business decisions. This time, it worked out badly for them. AS I was watching that mess, I kept thinking:OK, why are we sitting around wringing our hands and threatening each other when you have JM kicking your arse and a new line to come up with in like a month?.
It was good to see the real life results stemming from the Forresters' circus-like behavior for a change.

Message: What I thought was crazy was Brooke basically telling Katie that, to make the deal work, Katie would have the CEO title, but would basically need to take direction from Ridge, Brooke, & Eric on the running of FC. Ummmm, isn't it those 3 that ran the company in the ground? I thought Brooke's idea was a bad one. I say Katie should ask for advice when she needs it....if it's fashion advice, ask Ridge or Eric...if she's looking for business advice, I'd lay my bets on asking Dollar Bill...he's the one who's got the thriving empire!
