Topic: Marcus & Steffie: Yay, Nay, or Yawn?

Nay!  I really liked the idea at first, but either the relationship developed too fast for me or the chemistry wasn't there or something, I'm not sure why. 

I don't think Marcus is a bad actor especially but the way the writers have developed his character, I find him kind of boring.  They need to come up with some history for him besides Owen.  Let's have some sort of interesting aspect of his past revealed or some scandal or something besides Steffy and him making out.  I don't watch to soaps for that kind of viewing although we sure get enough of it.  I prefer a SL with some depth and interest and these two just don't seem to have it for me.

Even the conflict with Ridge not wanting them together is the same ole SL as it was with Rick and Phoebe.

I agree, Marcus is a very one-dimensional character. In fact, Steffie is pretty much the same way. And I really don't see much chemistry between these actors. They just don't make me care whether they're together or not. ~i&b

A to the Yeah!  I like everything about this pairing.  And maybe I've watched Ronn Moss for too many years, but I don't consider the actor who plays Marcus a "bad actor."  I'm not saying he's wonderful, but I have found every reaction and feeling of his to be authentic (from finding his mother, to meeting his aunts, to worrying about Eric, etc etc).

Yay for Marcus & Steffie as a couple. I think they are cute together & have chemistry....at least more than any other couple on this snoozefest of a show. I just wish that the actor who plays Marcus could act. Lawd he's a terrible actor, but such good eye-candy & seems so sweet IMO.

I don't mind them putting them together as a couple, they make a beautiful couple. But I have to agree with you about his acting, the guy is awful, the fact that she is pretty good makes him look even worse....psychdiva

Big yawn.  They guy who plays Marcus is such a terrible actor that he isn't believable in any scene.  Watching him and Ridge together is worse than him and Steffie, though for obvious reasons.
