Additional Comments: Okay everyone who do you think was the best head writers Another World had during its run. Now I started watching the show after Harding Lemay's time. So my list doesnt have his name on it.
My choices are as follows:
1. Tom King and Robert Soderberg: They wrote the story that got me hooked on the show that of Mac Cory being poisoned my his wife Janice. Also they had Rachel having Mitch Blake's baby.
2. Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin: They wrote two popular romances: Cass and Kathleen and Sally and Caitlin.
3. Gillian Spencer: She created the popular characters of Vicky Hudson, Jake McKinnon and Bridget O'Connell.
4. Donna Swajeski: She was responsible for the popular love stories of Ryan and Vicky as well as Cass and Frankie.
5. Peggy Sloane: She did the story where Felicia became an alcoholic.

Message: I've never liked Richard Culliton's work--unless he was working w/his wife, Carolyn (sp) Culliton. I've always liked Douglas Marland, Michael Malone, Irna Phillips, Roger Newman, Maggie DePriest, Gillian Spencer & Peggy Sloane. It was a pleasant surprise to see James Lipton credited as a writer on the show!
While some writers just have an affinity for the soap opera format, there were so many over the yrs that started out in front of the camera! He didn't write for AW, but I believe Lewis Arlt (ex-David) directed a bit on AW. I know he wrote & directed on other soaps.
