Message: I miss it as well. Now I have been watching it on Hulu.com, which makes me realize all over again what a great show it was. Today's soap operas don't hold a candle to what AW was. However, in this lean economy, who knows how it would have progressed. At least we can remember the golden years.

Message: I've missed AW since before its finale. What started the six year fight to save AW (& ultimately the whole P&G lineup) was that our local affiliate stopped airing AW yrs before it was taken out of production. The ONLY reason that it returned to this market was because of legal challenges from the network. Many AW fans here knew what life w/o AW would be like & it wasn't pretty. Now, granted, when it died a national death, the fans didn't have to read 'updates' & 'spoilers' every week in the soap magazines that only rubbed salt into the wound.
There were those who said that either GL or ATWT would be next, within 5-10 yrs. Ten yrs after AW's demise, & here we are again. For the last 18+ yrs, the GL & ATWT fans have been watching these shows being ruined, which the AW fans watched happen as well.
I miss it too. IMO, the other soaps just don't have the heart as AW had. I now watch ATWT and AMC, but am not connected like with AW. Could be because I watched it since I was 11 years old ♦
