Additional Comments: Over at my messageboard for cancelled soap operas, there is a current discussion of the death of Mary Matthews. There was a question about who could have replaced Virginia Dwyer as Mary had the show chosen to have not renewed the contract of that particular actress and had decided to recast the show.
There is also an interesting post about the possiblity when was okayed by Procter and Gamble and Ted Corday Productions to have had Frances Reid return to the soap operas playing a limited time role as Alice Horton, the character that she currently plays on the NBC serial Days of Our Lives.
There is another post about Robert Cenadella. It involves the third actor (Robert Hover) who played Dr. Russ Matthews and also the character (and death of) Cindy Clark, the second wife of Russ.
