Additional Comments: We're having sloppy joes, which has always been a comfort food for me. Tomorrow I am trying a new recipe for chicken marsala.

My husband got these steaks 'on the cheap' from some guy a couple of weeks ago.  I called them 'street steaks' because he went and met the guy in a parking lot like they were doing a drug deal or something.  He got a kick out of it, so now we call them 'street steaks' and we had those and a baked potatoe for dinner.

I went to a Pan-Asian restaurant with a friend. I had two kinds of mixed-vegetable sushi, and we shared a seaweed salad appetizer and banana spring rolls with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

We had Sloppy Joe's tonight too. But I'm from the north and we call them "wimpies" -made with cooked ground beef/peppers/onions, tomato soup and ONLY Bennett's chili sauce. I serve them with wide buttered noodles.

We're having an omelette with fresh asparagus. BTW, I love chicken marsala. We have a great Italian restaurant here that makes the best I've ever tasted. I don't try to make it because I know it would not be as good as Angelina's. But I do have some marsala sauce that I bought at Trader Joe's.

  • well we looked at a liquor store today and they didn't even know what marsala wine was, so we may not be having that!
  • You can often buy it in the cooking wine section of your grocery store. You can also use cooking sherry. But marsala wine can be found in a liquor store --- it's in the sweet table wine section and if the employee didn't know that, he or she needs a little more education on what they sell! I've never been to a liquor store that didn't carry it. It's often with stuff like Harvey's Bristol creme and after dinner sherries.
  • thanks, I'll keep looking!
  • Found it at Kroger!!
