That is my disturbing news. Some of you may remember that she had brain surgery last November and did well afterwards. However subsequent MRIs show additional blockage of the fluid in her brain and a recurrance of the cyst. We have been watching it with serial MRIs for the past year and it has reached to point where intervention is again necessary. She will be having the surgery on Mon, Oct 6 at 7:30 A.M. Calif time.
Her name is Tessa and she just turned 17. She is the sweetest, more adorable girl. She is so well behaved and kind to everyone unlike some teens. We are hopeful that this will be successful and she will not need more surgery in the future. I am a firm believer in intercessary prayer and I would appreciate prayers for her from any of you who also believe in it. Thanks to all and pray also for our family; my daughter, Tessa's mother, who is also a nurse and not taking this very well at all. She is having a hard time dealing with it as is Tessa's father. I too am struggling with my own concerns not only worrying about Tessa but also the pain that her parents are going through in regards to this.
Thanks again to my emails friends on this board. I have come to look forward to all of your posts, agree or disagree. Like mm, I believe that I am an open minded person and am just looking for the facts and trying to make the best decisions in this life.

Message: My prayers are with you and with her and all your family. It's hard to put so much trust in doctors and so much faith in God sometimes. She sounds like a strong young lady and that counts for a lot in recovery! Be strong for each other.
