I agree with you Marty.

Carly, in her defense, didn't set out to leave town. She saw Jack on the roof and panicked. And she did tell Parker where she was going... it is clear something she views as a day trip at this point, and she does come back, because Lindstrom (Linstrom?) have scenes in Carly's living room this week.

It occurred to me I can guess how care for the kids will be dealt with - I predict Carly will get Molly to go to Oakdale to be with them now that she's on the outs with Ro.

I personally can't wait until Janet realizes what's going on.

I miss JJ too, but I think he's out of the picture, never to be mentioned again. I think TIIC finally realized the damage his existence did to Carly and Jack. Now, I never had a problem with Jack stepping up and parenting that boy, but other fans of the couple did, so they may think it is best to close that chapter, since the story was so botched.

Frankly I am stunned JJ lasted as long as he did.

cycworker, I complete get why CarJack fans are eager to see this roadtrip happen. I just don't want it to look like Carly and Jack are indulging in selfish behavior by taking off to reconnect at the cost of taking care of their kids. The Philly trip was necessary and I applaud Carly for going. Now if she decides to take off with Jack again or doesn't bother to come back home and chases after Jack, I am going to be cheesed off, especially when Parker and Sage have absolutely no one who gives a damn about them in Oakdale...well maybe Craig and Ro but they are too busy screwing and chasing Carly. eom Linny

Actually, Carly's relationship with JJ softened my attitude toward her. I think I stopped loathing Carly the minute she held JJ's hand in front of the courtroom, before he was confronted by his father. That evil b!tch Janet could take a page from Carly's book when it comes to loving your husband's kids. She's barely civil to Sage, and just outright nasty to Parker. And, the only reason I think JJ has been forgotten is because I believe the writers fully intended to have Carly kill him in a drunk driving accident, but reconsidered the storyline. (eom) Mandi

Marty, I am still trying really hard with this but I have to say that ITA with your statement that Jack needed to handle this better with his kids. In fact, I am really annoyed that BOTH parents have now taken off without a word to the kids as to when they are coming back. Who's taking care of Sage and Parker? Certainly not Janet. Craig and Ro are busy chasing after Carly and Carly didn't even bother to tell them that she was going so they couldn't have been watching them anyway even if they were two irresponsible slugs. Carly really needs to come home now that Jack is off that roof. Her kids really need her and Jack needs professional help. They can bond while Jack is getting help. This is just starting to look a little narcissistic.

IMHO it is one of the glaring inconsistencies that Jack did not even speak to his kids about leaving town. It just didn't ring true. I can't argue with the depression & the sadness he feels. However, Jack has a responsiblity to his children as well. I guess TPTB are trying to tell us that Jack is so bad off that he would actually leave town without telling them of his pain & anguish. One could say that TPTB were trying to balance out Carly abandoning her children with Simon so that they are now on an even basis so to speak. That's my hunch. As for Carly going after Jack it's illogical but I'm enjoying it. At least Parker stated to Carly that he understood how much his father was going through. It's going to be a banner month for CarJackers but TPTB have to do a better job of crediblity with these two characters. Marty

I know you all are really happy. I'm just concerned that this is going to make me hate CarJack again if they don't clean this up. Janet is a b!tch. Craig and Ro are POS right now AND they're chasing Carly. Teri's a ditz. I just don't like the idea of these to running off to ''find each other'' and leaving two very needy kids on their own. Maybe the writers will address this soon. Right now, I'm proud of Carly for going after Jack. But if they indulge too much, I'm gonna get sour really fast. ...and Marty, if he's in that much pain...I really want to see it like we saw Jack freak when he confronted Craig and Ro. I don't want a roadtrip. I want them to break jack down and rebuild him. MP has the chops to carry off a complete major breakdown that lasts more than a few hours. If he did that, I could certainly buy that he's too trouble to even worry about his kids. eom Linny

That road trip is happening through this month. Hopefully along the way it will be cathartic for both J&C. From the spoilers that we've read J&C aren't reuniting as soon as he returns to Oakdale. There will be obstacles. Can't wait for the conversation between J&C on him pulling a gun on Craig & Ro. Marty

Carly & Parker scenes have always been A#1 and not only with Mick as Parker, but all the other Parkers' as well. Mother and son just jive, even when in disagreement.

Jack isn't thinking straight, that's why he bolted out of town without mentioning a word to anyone. It's understandable, yet I'm not liking this 'road tour' -- I've wanted Jack to fall from grace for years because of his treatment of Carly, but I don't wish to see a flipped out Jack at all. And having beloved ex-cast members such as Peter Paros ..... only for a one-scene deal, is a great, great tease and a complete letdown. I've missed his beautiful voice, and I want to hear it more! And more!

It is a disgrace the way TIIC have handled JJ and the no-show that they let him become. JJ and Carly had a special rapport and JJ adored Carly -- showed it more than Sage or Parker at the time. It's a disgrace, pure and simple, having him completely out of the picture as such.
