Additional Comments: I thoroughly enjoyed the scene at the bar when Margo figured out why Barbara would try to bail Henry out of jail. There was something pleasant about two mature women, sitting down for a drink, and having a moment of girl talk. I really miss friendships on ATWT.

You do realize that Margo had an affair with James Stenbeck while he was married to Barbara. Years later, Barbara lied and said she'd slept with Tom just to make Margo crazy. They have a long bad history.

I've watched ATWT for over 30 years. I am well aware of their history. It was just refreshing to see both women put that aside and have a moment to chat. (eom) Mandi

Current soap writers don't get the concept of friendship on soaps. ATWT was built on friendships like Kim and Lisa, Nancy and Claire Cassen, Ellen and Penny, Margo and Jessica, etc. Even if Margo and Babs aren't best buds, they've both been in Oakdale forever, they're roughly the same age, and have pretty much seen it all, so there would be presumably be some mutual respect (after all, they both adored Hal).

It's such a shame soap writers are ignoring friendships these days. The only ones we do see are usually temporary and only serve to further a plot. (eom) Mandi

That was nice. They were just two women talking, and neither one of them saying stupid things. Too bad say, Allison and Maddie can't be friends like that. Whatever happened to Lily and Carly's friendship? Does Lily even know Carly is home?

I could say the same for Jack and Mike, but that is for another thread.

I don't think Lily and Carly's friendship has been the same since Carly slept with Holden. For a moment, it seemed the writers were going to allow Bonnie and Lily to be friends. That was back when Derek and Jade were around...oh, and before Bonnie also disappeared. (eom) Mandi
