1. The one disappearing character I wish the writers would explain is John Dixon, also Andy Dixon
2. The couple I most want to see reunited is Ben and Jessica
3. The oldest episode I remember is Nancy, Chris, and Grampa Hughes conversing in the kitchen in black and white, live on a fifteen minute show.
4. Th storyline that needs to wrap up the fastest is Janet's pregnancy, Liberty's cancer too.
5. I think the final words of the final episode should be "As The World Turns" spoken by Nancy.
6. I do hope we get to see John and Andy Dixon one more time before the show ends.
1. We really need an explanation of where John Dixon is.
2. Personally, I have always wanted to see Betsy and Steve Andropolous happily married; my all time favorite couple. BUT I want Meg Ryan to come back for a cameo, so we can see the REAL Betsy. And I want Steve Runyon as the original Steve.
3. My first memories of the show were Craig trying to break up Steve and Betsy, and Craig claiming that Betsy's baby was his, even though he knew he could not have children at the time, due to some type of injury, I believe.
4. Please, please, please wrap up the Janet storyline as soon as possible - let us enjoy the show as it ends - can we not at least have our show back until it ends?
5. The last scene should definitely be of Nancy at the table with Chris, saying Good morning, dear.
6. The one person I have always wanted back is Andy Dixon; to me, he is one of those characters who is part of the heart and soul of ATWT.
1. The one disappearing character I wish the writers would explain is Ben Harris.
2. The couple I most want to see reunited is Lisa & Grant.
3. The oldest episode I remember was when the family heard about Jennifer's death.
4. The storyline that needs to wrap up the fastest is all things Janet.
5. I think the final words of the final episode should be Chris telling his great grandmother Nancy 'Good Morning, dear' as he pours her a cup of coffee.
6. I do hope we get to see John Dixon one more time before the show ends.

1. Kirk and Sam. They way they were just "taken" and then no resolution at all.. that has bugged me for literally years.
2.The couple I most want to see reunited is Carly and Jack. Not even a huge fan anymore but, we all know they are reuniting so, they need to just do it and be done with it. Their fans deserve to watch one last, decent storyline about Carly and Jack before it all ends.
3. The earliest episodes that I recall are all jumbled together. I remember Bettsy and Brad. I remember John's rape trial with Dee. I also remember as a kid, liking John quite a bit even though he was suppose to be this big, bad villian. I remember I liked Brad and Bettsy together but, I really only remember one date and then I couldn't tell you how that storyline went or if they ever were a real couple. That was before Meg Ryan became Bettsy... (not sure of the name of the actress who played her back then but, she had a son who played JJ before he was SORAS'D).
4.Any storyline with Janet
5. I am not sure about last words but, I have always envisioned a happy ending with a big wedding and everyone being together and fences being mended. I also wish they would have a separate episode, maybe in GL's old time slot where they would just show past clips and interviews of actors, producers,... talking about the show through the years. I would love that!! I bet if they did that they could actually put it on DVD and sell it to fans to buy.. I know I would buy it.
6. There are so many characters I want to see again before the show ends. John Dixon is a big one!! He was that show for decades so, they need to bring him back to wrap up his story. To me the important characters to bring back are the ones tied to characters still on the show. For example as much as I would love to see Conner Walsh back.. why would she come back to Oakdale now?? She has no ties. I know I am in the small minority on this one but, I always loved David Steinbeck.. I know they "killed" him off but, James seems to be magic so, they could figure out a way to bring him back. I always liked the first David (can't recall the actors name)... really handsome guy!! It would be easy to say when Reid came back with plastic surgery that, it was actually Reid all along and not David pretending to be Reid... and that he was brainwashed by David and James to come to Oakdale to seek revenge. Oh wait... sounds too much like Mick! lol
1. The one disappearing character I wish the writers would explain is John Dixon.
2. The couple I most want to see reunited is Carly and Jack and in love forever.
3. The oldest episode I remember was about Mark Kasnoff building a treehouse.
4. The storyline that needs to wrap up the fastest is the Janet storyline.
5. I think the final words of the final episode should be Helen Wagner front and center, with the entire cast behind her, saying Our world will now stop turning, so thank you to all and to all a goodnight.
6. I do hope we get to see Ben Harris one more time before the show ends.
1. The one disappearing character I wish the writers would explain is John Dixon--and not just explain him, but bring him back!!!!! At least for a scene . . . .
2. The couple I most want to see reunited is John and Lucinda. But also Dusty and Lucy. And Casey and Allison. And Chris and someone (someone classy, and connected to the show's history--not Molly! Chris Hughes wears the mantle of a lot of history on the show and should be with someone with a meaningful connection to the show.) Of course I want Carly with Jack, Holden with Lily, etc., but those are givens because they represent parity and balance (whether they are my dream couples or not).
3. The oldest episodes I remember were about David Stewart with amnesia, living with a woman not Ellen. John with Dee Stewart and manipulating her, but always wanting Kim. Margo and Tom and Mr. Big. Annie with Jeff (?) and their quadruplets. Not sure which of these came first.
4. The storyline that needs to wrap up the fastest is the Janet and Ciccone storyline. I cannot stress this enough. She can stay on the show, heck, Dusty is even making me not hate her as much, but she must fade the background. She CANNOT take over the last months of a show I have watched from the day I was born. But then again she is so I guess she can.
5. I think the final words of the final episode should be something "cheesy" but meaningful. For instance, something spoken by Bob to a gathering like "and that is how the world turns" or by Nancy to Bob, Kim, Tom, Casey-- some Hughes (not Margo). Something like "good morning dear." Honestly, I cannot see how we will get from here [the eternal kitchen scenes with Janet] to there, though.
6. I do hope we get to see ANDY DIXON one more time before the show ends. Oh I am crying typing this; I am so stupid. He was my brother's age when we watched growing up and he was such a real character, such a real kid. Then his alcoholism story. And Kim. It's like she has forgotten him. And I am so distressed that Janet (whom I hate more than any character since Molly in her first, show-stealing (and Holden-stealing) incarnation) is TAKING UP SO MUCH TIME in the last months of this show. Realistically I know that we cannot have 7 months or whatever of Kim and Bob; they had their days in the sun, they are supporting characters now and that is natural. But come on, someone, anyone, connected with the show's history should be the focus of the last months. Oh I WISH John would come back, be with his boys Andy (only if played by Scott Defreitas) and Dusty, and then Emma would be around, and Lucinda, and okay even Luke, and Kim and Bob and Tom and okay even Margo, and Casey and Allison and Susan and Emily and Barbara and okay even Katie (she is Lila's and Casey's child . . . . ) and YES I would like to see Seth and Caleb and Ellie again for a minute at least and I know I am preaching to the choir but these characters kept the show interesting for years, why can't we focus on some of them till September? I know it can't and won't be seven months of Nancy and Lisa sitting around Fashions or the Lakeview or Nancy's garage apartment chatting (which I would happily watch, but I am realistic). But come on, I know this is a new day and age, but there are no new viewers to attract, i.e., it doesn't matter if new viewers start watching, so why not cater, at least a bit, to old viewers and sentiment, instead of demographics, and send the show out on a classy note?
Sorry for the rant. Thanks for this post and the good memories. I wish the good old days would come out on DVD. After 35+ years of my dad silently putting up with my mom and me watching the show, he became really invested two years ago (more time since he works less now) and LOVES the show and will tell my mom every night, "let's watch the program" (they DVR it). I just wish it had stuck around longer for him to enjoy. And he missed the best times in my opinion!
