Subject: LuvToLaf, thank you for your lovely compliments. I took these shots with a Canon EOS 20 D. It is a DSLR camera or digital single lens reflex. However, I have been saving my pennies so I can purchase a Nikon D80 also a DSLR. I also have a non-SLR camera which is a Sony DSC-H5 it is a very high end point and shoot digital camera. I use that one for mostlly all of my macro shots. Click inside before I start to bore everyone here....

Hi! I don't know what kind of camera you purchased, but I have researched many, many of them since I took up photography a few years ago. I have a website where I sell my stock footage photos you can view them if you like. Mostly all of them with the exception of about 16 to 20 of them were taken with the Sony because I didn't have the Canon when I first started. The website is... Isis' portfolio at shutterstock

Anyway, once I began selling my photos and actually making money, I found that I really wanted something much more sophisticated than the Sony. I decided to go with an SLR camera. If you don't know what they are, they use mirrors to direct light from the lens to the viewfinder showing you exactly what you are capturing. If you would like to get serious about digital photography, this would be something you would probably eventually want. However, you can still take awesome photos without an SLR if you are artistic and know how to frame your shots. Knowing how things work in your camera like the white balance, shutter speed, aperture and the ISO settings and what they mean is essential to taking great shots no matter what kind of camera you have.
I do use Photoshop to clean up my photos afterwards, but I prefer to try to get them as perfect as I can while I'm taking them so I don't have to do alot of post editing. I just don't have alot of time for that these days. I did not do any retouching at all of these photos in the topic, believe me, if I did you wouldn't notice that his bib is wet and other certain things that bother me about the pics. I can show you before and after examples that would amaze you. I do use Photoshop to resize them all for the web though.

If you are interested at all or if you have questions about this stuff you can feel free to email me anytime and I can try to answer any questions you may have. I don't know how involved you are in digital photography or how much you know about any of this stuff, but I do know a few things on this particular topic.

You can email me anytime at isis-143@hotmail.com

Happy shooting!!!
