Subject: Same here re Velveeta. There was always that huge loaf front & center in the fridge, and it made an appearance in every sandwich ever made. I swear I never tasted any REAL cheeses until I was living out on my own! eom/starfish

Subject: Same for me. Mom never made us eat the cheese - I tried it on my own. It wasn't until, as an adult at a party, I tried Brie that I knew cheeses all had different flavors and textures and NO soap taste.eom/WE

Subject: I grew up in the Dairy State so cheese was an everyday food. I never tasted Velveeta until after I was out of college. I can't even consider that real cheese. I know a lot of people use it for Macaroni & Cheese but not me, I use the real deal. . ~i&b
