Subject: Sue, I'm not a democrat because I want government to fix all my problems. I'd like for government to stay out of my personal life and not take my rights away by adding an amendment barring me from marriage. I'm a democrat because ... even when I was a young kid in the Reagan years ... I've NEVER believed that trickle-down economics works or that it is good for the common, middle-class person. I view the economy like a tree... you can't water the leaves and expect it to be healthy. You water the roots, and watch it grow strong. The middle class is the majority; the roots of this nation. I like McCain. I have respect for him. I just don't agree with his policies. ---Bri
