I have a gated courtyard that you must enter to get to my front door. I always put a nice lighted wreath on the gate every year. While at Walmart a few days ago, I bought a $20 outdoor lighted sign that says Merry Christmas and has a snowflake with it. Merry is red, Christmas is green and when I put it up on the gate it looks like a big blob of red, green and white. You can't read it. It's really bad. Good thing I kept the receipt! Back to the lighted wreath again.
Please tell me you bought something stupid so I won't feel like the only one!
Yep, when we first moved here there were a lot of little kids in the neighborhood. We bought (how do I describe this) elves that stand on each other's shoulders and Santa on top as if he was being boosted to the roof. They're not heavy and each in a different position trying to oomph the big guy. We put it up and it was so cute and was visible from the street. It was light and lasted less than 15 minutes until the wind came and blew them down.
